Product Description
The AGA Campolin the Baron Elite is an automatic knife that is the modern evolution of the Baron build with the same leverlock mechanism like the successful "Zero". It has N690Co stainless steel drop point blade with a black PVD finish and solid stonewashed AISI 420 steel liners and bolsters. The double spring gives faster action and guarantees longer durability where the inverted lever ensures quick opening action. The handle is made of black G-10 with a 3d texture for a better grip and comes with a stainless steel pocket clip. The springs are very easy to replace and the Baron Elite comes with an extra spring in the carbon paper box. *By purchasing this knife you are agreeing to our terms & conditions*

AGA Campolin "Baron Elite" Auto (Blk)
This has quickly become one of my all time favorite EDC type automatics! Basically this is the upgraded, modernized, semi-tactical version of the c1950s-60s vintage Baron Automatic design -- except instead of old style pinned construction, button release and rather mediocre steel; with the Elite you get modern screw construction with solid stainless frame, nicely textured G10 scales, and Bohler N690Co blade. Also has the same upgraded lever system as the Zero dagger, which is super fast to deploy with very strong firing and locks up rock solid. High quality all around, with top notch fit & finish. The handle design is elegant in its simplicity, while being very comfortable in the hand; it's become a classic style for a reason (Emerson basically copied the original Baron design with their A100 model albeit as a standard/manual folder. Or I guess you could see this Elite as the automatic version of the A100 depending on your point of view...). The blade is a perfect EDC size while still being viable for defense: 3mm thick Spearpoint that's technically a saber grind I guess, but it tapers to a full flat grind for most of its length which makes it a great slicer as well as piercer. N690Co is a premium German stainless with excellent corrosion resistance and edge retention; similar in specs to Japanese VG10. The black coat (DLC I believe?) is hard wearing and nice looking. Carry is right-handed, tip up only with deep carry clip. Overall this feels extremely solid, and you will not be disappointed! As an aside, this is much more practical for EDC than most Italian autos, in terms of blade type, steel, and overall design. For an automatic it's also quite friendly around "non knife people", vs the typical modern tactical automatic or Italian stiletto type knife which come off instantly as "weapons" to many people. Not to say this is lacking in the tactical department either, just that the aesthetics don't instantly scream WEAPON! to people. While lack of a crossguard or choil may be a turnoff to some, the thick rounded butt is perfect to wrap a thumb around if you need it. If I have one complaint it's the lack of lanyard hole, but that's just a personal preference, and you can always improvise by attaching one to the clip end. Otherwise pretty much everything about this is great.
