Excellent design and materials. Poor execution.
As far as Perry Knife Works is concerned, I'm more than satisfied. Excellent customer service. There was a problem with my order but they called personally, fixed it, and shipped it next day. Now, to the knife. How this knife passed quality is beyond me. My biggest gripe is the edge. Whoever sharpened this knife did far more harm than good. The apex bevel was completely skewed and no where near symmetrical and not to mention dull as a butter knife. And frankly, this knife is not easy to sharpen due to the recurve. I spent 2 hours undoing the damage to the edge. The other major issue is the lock stick on this bad boy. It takes two hand to hold the knife and disengage the lock. Now, that being said i've been opening and closing the knife continuously and the lock stick is slowly getting better. Now to the pros: the flipper is super smooth due to the bearing pivot, the blade is centered, and the ergonomics is great. Maybe this knife is just a lemon. I did not attempt to send the knife back, as I took it as a personal challenge to fix the edge. But I'm sure perry knife works would have worked something out for me if I had pursued that route.
